Last night I had the opportunity, to meet Rachel Caine. I have not read her series, but my blog partner Meagen and my good friend Kim (pictured below), are huge fans. Thanks to Kim's love for the series, and her generosity, she purchased a signed copy of Fade Out for me to give away.

I absolutely love the Morganville Vampire series. The books are fast-paced and take place in a short amount of time. Action Action Action. Plus, I just love the main characters. Clare and Shane are so adorable together and who wouldn't love Michael.

I'm so jealous you got to meet Rachel! I've only read the first 3 of the Morganville Vampire series so far, but I find that they provide a nice, light, and entertaining read when I need a break from the world. And despite the shortness of the books, she manages to create great characters!

I can't say that I love this series because I haven't started reading it. I have the first few books towards the top of my TBR list, and I have heard great things about them. But I still haven't started yet. :-(

Honestly I'm not 100% sure why I like this series. Of course it has a fantastic plot but so do many others. It could be because of the interesting vamp angle but I think that the great characters and finding out what happens next (darn those cliffhanger endings!) is what keeps me coming back.
